Is your Flight Duty Pay Taxed

Flybe has just had its 84% tax free dispensation on flight duty pay revoked.

It has been claimed that this action is to affect the aviation industry across the whole of the UK. Is this true?

Is you Duty pay still tax free? or has it been revoked?

Ours has been taxed for a long time (at least ten years methinks). Currently 35% of the pay is taxable at your highest rate, it was till recently 32%.

Our duty pay is tax free, but the tax man only permitted this if we gave up our crew food . Our sector pay is taxed but I'm unsure of the rate .
