Direct Personnel bigger market share??
Maybe if you advise which contract it is that you are choosing between both agencies you will receive more accurate information to assist with your decision making process.

Based on personal experience I have to say the DPI are committed to paying on time every time. To review each contract you should look at the terms such as medical, payment, overtime, and background support amongst other things. I have used a few different agencies and DPI come out trumps for me!! All personal experience happy to help on a PM if you wish to discuss any aspect of DPI in private???

Based on my experience I have been very happy with both the pre assignment contact and the post contract support and payment while on assignment. I have been also able to secure ad-hoc work ferrying aircraft between assignments.....all with Sigmar, where as I have had lots of promises from DPI with nothing materialising. also my understanding is that Sigmar is significantly bigger than DPI with divisions for pilot recruitment, aircraft ferry flights as well as pilot training and type ratings on the A320

On the contrary, I have had experience working through Sigmar that is true as well as previous dealings with DPI but I do not work with either of them. Maybe you should check your facts! There are a lot of pilots that are Dublin based.

I can say that I have had dealings with DPI and to be honest it wasn't the best experience. I don't think there is an ideal agency to go with. You're on your own basically. I wouldn't recommend contract work, best to avoid it if you can.

I've also had personal experience working for DPI -- and it was awful. They lied, shorted me on pay, and paid more than a month late.

Several of the other contract captains at that location told me that they had been treated rudely by DPI (this was apparently accepted as the norm), but they WERE paid correctly and on time. I have only heard directly from one other pilot acquaintence who says he was cheated by DPI. So... your mileage may vary.

I really enjoyed the job and the location, but working with DPI was truly miserable. I now ignore all DPI job ads and emails... their Head of Sales and the account manager were blatantly dishonest, so I simply won't work for them again. Plenty of other jobs available.

My advice... AVOID DPI if at all possible. If not possible, get EVERYTHING that is important to you IN WRITING. DPI tried to cheat me out of even more than what I had already been shorted... I had to repeatedly INSIST on being paid what was already in writing.

Thumbs down

NWTINPUSHER's comments are basically what I experienced. Not a particularly straight organisation.
