Question EasyJet Base Allocation ?

Starting with Easy soon and recently got assigned to LGW.
I had opted for STN as first choice.
Now the formal proc. is to req. a transfer and then "first come - first serve" after your one yr. base freeze.
Now at least one guy on the course before me got STN, and I started thinking whether Company Base Allocation takes precedence over the transfer list ??
In other words....some guy with a June start date may get STN eventhough I have allready requested this....?
Did I understand this correctly ??
Can you get a "waiver" for the one yr. base freeze ??
Any Comments / suggestions ??

Your one year base freeze is, as I understand it, only if you wish to transfer from one type to another. When I was allocated my base, I could choose between a few, and was told that if I had another preference than any of those, then I could apply from day one on the training course and probably be moved to the base of my choice just after line training.

It seems they are very flexible as long as there are open positions on the base you wish to transfer to. Only thing is if you are going on the 737 and opt for an 319 base, (or opporsite) then the freeze applies.

Held og lykke med det

Hi Oscar Yankee,
It depends on which seat you are. If you are an FO, don't worry . I recently joined EZY and got my transfer to my prefered base during the ground course. And if Stansted is your first choice you'll get it in no time as it's a big base with lot of movements. Apply ASAP to your base captain by email and just wait for the good news.
As I undestand it, there are only 2 restrictions about base transfer : You can only be on one waiting list at the time and once you get a requested transfer you are base frozen for one year. But as I said I'm brand new in the company so maybe more experienced chaps could have another view.
Hope this will help you.
Regards

So how likely is it a new FO could get NCL if requested?
