AVCOM...unserious Brooker?
Hi Folks!
Does anybody has informations or experiences with AVCOM Aviation Consortium? This Brooker was looking for Fokker 100 pilots some weeks ago to lease them out to an company in southern europe.
But as I heard there are not doing a very serious job and cheat pilots for their salary. A friend of mine returned after 3 month without payment and he is still waiting for it! Nothing was payed according contract, no expenses, no per diems during training and no salary! The just don't care about the contract and wait as long as the people resign and blame them then for breaching the contract! What a pitty! He is trying to fight now for his money trought court. There are also people with this company who are flying already around without any signed contract!...illegal and unserious.

I flew with them in 2005.
They honoured my contract and paid me on time too.
advice..
Its worth making sure the company they put you in is a safe bet.
I would certainly not wait three months to find out!!
Maybe AvCom are waiting for their money too.

Where did you fly and on what aircraft type? I don't think that I am going to join them, heard too much about this company. Could be, that they are waiting for their money too, but thats the point... I think a contract which states that they only pay if the receive the money is not serious at all.

Based Rome.
Get in contact with them and talk it over. You must be happy before you go or it becomes quite a strain.
I got in touch with another pilot with them who was well looked after in the placement company.
It was just my luck that this guy had been replaced with someone less helpful when I got there but..that was not AvCom's fault.. that's life.
