SilverJet
Hi - I have been invited to SilverJet HQ in March - applied as Co-pilot. Already rated with good experience on B762. Anyone all ready there willing to give details - all the usuals. roster, days off, salary etc.
I see they are looking for Captains as well - any future internal promotion ?
Thanks. Twin2040

No disrespect, but would that type of flying not get a bit boring after awhile? Flying from Luton to ultimately 3-4 North American destinations over and over again? Sounds to me like that could get exhausting if you do 1-2 trips over the pond per week. Just my opinion.
Good luck to you!

Riker 3-4 U.S.A destinations at first but they could be the tip of the iceberg, if those routes do well whose to say Silverjet wont be expanding their route network. Even at this early stage I have heard rumours of South Africa and Dubia - hearsay I know but watch this space I suppose.

The Concorde might have been fun the first 10 times, but doubt it was very interesting to fly the same route everyday after that. Everyone having done repetitive flights on other than flightsim would probably agree in that
However, Silverjet might grow into someting big and interesting. After all, they just dropped the diapers and seems to be on the right track already

I can't answer any of your questions but I happened to be at Alteon (sim check) while Silverjet were running cabin crew training (Dec 06). They looked so gorgeous, I seriously considered moving from Orange to Silver!
Surely that's useful information

Have heard that Cabin crew have had a payrise on their basic pay and flight pay now gone upto £2.75 per/hr.
Could any F/O's out there working for them advise me of the starting basic salary and if there are annual increments in place.
Thanks.

Yeah thanks NATO35 I realise they are both the same company now.
I have looked on both their websites and there is nothing about basic salary, increments, or any other terms and conditions for f/o's which is why I asked the question on here.
Anyone else?

NATO 35 thanks but I'm ahead of you on those ones too.
Have tried both sights flyjet info on ppjn is 2005 cant find silverjet on ppjn. The info from the ipa is 2006, although does imply they have an increment system(Good news)
The alledged payrise I have heard of through the grape vine is this year so I wanted more upto date info.
Cheers.

I got a polite e-mail response to my C.V submital. Seems they are looking for type rated people, but they offered to keep me on file for what that migt or might not be worth!
