XL Recruitment

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone can give me any info on XL, and what life is like on the 75/76 fleet.

Only asking as had interview this week, and really like the sound of them!

Also, anyone else who has had interview this week, what are your thoughts, how did it go?

Cheers

Hi Sally,

Very relaxed interview, as it should be, with Fleet Manager and his Deputy. Two nice guys, no surprises!

Good Luck

No, just carrier pigeon, or brick from a passing car...
Couldn't resist... To answer your question, yes they do.

Is it all SSTR unless you have the relevant type rating or do they provide a rating then bond you? - mainly interested in the 73 fleet.

As far as I'm aware it is only for 75/76 MAN....Maybe LGW as well?

You will pay for your own type rating if not already rated to the tune of £21,125

Just heard that I'm in the holding pool for the 75/76 SSTR, no planned start dates. Anyone else?
I wonder how many of us are in "the holding pool"?

Congratulations!! Not too long I would imagine, summerseason is upon us shortly. Having said that, I've been told a few trainers have left recently. XL appears to be evolving into something quite nice.

Don't want to go under it, just need the Radar freq.

Excel (or XL...) have to be the most elusive people to contact. I have been given the name of an alleged CP (at Chateau Gatwick) and have inflicted a CV on him. But that will get me nowhere. And I can get nothing else from them.
If anyone out there is willing to supply any form of clue as to where we serfs should lob our CVs (tied to a ball of dung, of course) I would be very grateful. It's not like I haven't been trying for six months..

Sally,

I know of one other, and me in the "pool", so that is at least 3! Not sure how long I can tread water for though!
