B737 Classic cheap simulator
Hi guys,
I'm rated on B737 CL, and I'm close to some interviews and assessments. I'd like to know where can I find a cheap 737 FFS in Europe cause I would take a couple of hours on that to refresh. For cheap I mean less than 500/600 € per hour.
Many Thanks,
Cheers

I went to one in Yorkshire a while back. It's not certified for exams, but the instructor's an ex 747 pilot and will give you a hard time in the sim just like at interview. It's obviously an old sim but I found it a useful hour. The whole place is quite impressive, the briefing room is a mock up of an airliner cabin. It's mainly targeted at the public, but if you give them a call and explain your needs they accommodate. They won't give you the late offer discounts, though, for what they call training, but if I remember I paid about 180 quid for an hour which I thought was good value compared to more modern sims. A google search will come up with their web page. Try under Yorkshire simulator or something like that. And no I don't work for them. You'll probably want solo but if you fancy pairing up PM me and we might be able to cost share.

I would say try Iago Solutions in the UK. Its a bit more expensive but you will use approved sims and current TRI/TRE for your practice. I used the oxford B734 sim once, and found the single engine very tricky to land. The sim also screems ("bank angle") at you when you bank more than 15 degrees and its not approved by the CAA.

Hello Gullyone, maybe they have changed the settings or something and maybe it also flys better now. I used it about 2 years ago, and it was 15 degrees bank or more. You are not expected to bank more than 25 degrees without a FD, and 30 with a FD. I wont have complained about the sim if it was 30 degrees or more.

I was also going to suggest the CSA sim here in Prague... not sure about what the exact rates are but I think you could get it very reasonably. Another I'm going to suggest is the RWL training facility in Germany - city is I believe Moenchengladbach (not sure about the spelling). When I was there if I remember correctly looking at the rates of around 350 Euro / hr.
