EI Staff Travel?

Staff Travel on EI post Oneworld
Hey,
Hopefully someone here maybe able to answer this for me. A mate of mine was out enjoying the New Years festivities with a senior EI manager and it was mentioned that EI intends on cutting its staff travel/zonal agreements with other carriers.
Is this true or should I start to reconsider my move back to ireland as a commuter????

Actually, I maybe able to answer my own question now after chatting to someone last night. EI are staying in IATA for obvious reasons so under their terms I have been told that staff travel with EI will not end! I hope this is accurate!
