ICAO licence with JAA validation

Hi is there anybody here that has been employed by a European airline\operator wih an ICAO licence with JAA validation and then been given the 6 months or year to obtain the JAA ATPL? do operators in erope hire on this basis and if so what things could one do to make the chances of employment more likely(JAA theory exams etc.)

Thank you all in advance.

I know of an ex-PIA captain flying in Turkey for MNG on a validation.

Ryanair does.
But you must be B737 type rated. Then you have a year to get JAA ATP licence.
No need for any exam passed in advance.
