FRE Fixed Rate Expenses

Up until the recent "unification" headed by BALPA (which seems to give all UK pilots tax relief of £850+£100), different companies had different figures.

So if you are working for one company (FRE £500) and in the middle of the tax year change to another company (FRE £700), what will the taxman let you claim? I would like to think £700, but I bet it isn't.

Does anyone have experience of this situation, please?

No experience of this 757, but I suspect that HMRC will want to pro-rata your time in the two respective companies. The new £950 figure only applies from April 6th 2006.
