Silverjet Startup

Hi,
just wondered if anyone had applied to Silverjet's pilot vacancies advertised some months ago for B767 based at Luton. There's plenty of threads about cabin crew for this airline but it's strangely quiet concerning flight deck crew; in fact, as far as I can tell, Silverjet has actually started taking on cabin crew for a proposed start on December 1st. Would this be normal to hire cabin crew first and then worry about flight deck later? According to their website the start deadline will be postponed until April 2007 if there are any delays; since when did any new airline NOT be delayed? Anyway would be interested to hear any comments and/or info re flight deck side of things.

quite logical

I assume the aircraft will be hung on another AOC for the start up, thus the AOC holder will have crew 9flight deck) and lease the aircraft on AMCI basis.

The cabin crew "represent" the company, and can quite easily be utilised, even if they are SNU for a short period.
