Simulator assessment

Hi guys,

I have been welcomed for a simulator assessment.
It is gonna be on an Airbus 319 or 340!
I am not rated, so I really need adices!

What can I expect

Visual pattern, T/O departure, engine failure on climb, ILS with engine failure, engine failure before V1.
What do they expect from a guy not rated!

All experiences very welcome!!

Thanks

Interesting, which carrier is this with? Not sure it's fair to be giving you failures on something you've never flown before. Do you have any multi-crew experience?

Rgds

I think failures are quite a common part.
Ryanair for instance give you an engine fire during the sim assesment.
They are however looking for basic control and more at the CRM aspects of dealing with the problem, they are well aware of the fact you cant necersarilly fly a 737.
I assume that in general the same may apply to most airline checks ?

I was flying DC8 and B727 in Africa!!!
Far away from Airbus but still multi crew experience.

They will surelly insist on CRM and how you behave in a new environment.

Do you guys have an idea of a typical scenario??

Thanks

I hope it all goes well for you. I also hear that there were a few of us now who didn't make it.
I must look you guys up next time I venture down to "Le Preskil"

If yo can do a V1 cut in a DC 8 or B 727 then don't even worry about an A320.

It was finally the 3th of june!!
We did it with a very nice guy who tried to make us be relax.
Normal T/O, some 45° bank turn, visual pattern.
T/O with engine failure after V1, ILS and go around on 1 engine.
It was on a 320, very nice and sirprising plane to "fly".

Still waiting confirmation of the company, and very excited as well
