Herc at ACL
Hi Saturn,
I left ACL at the end of last year. They have 1 Herc - 4 crews, salaries around £34K-£44K for FOs, £50K-£59K for Capts plus duty allowance (these may have changed slightly since I left). Likely base for Herc is STN but this is largely irrelevant as you go where the work is. If the ac isn't doing anything else it is usually at BOH. The crews live all over the UK and Eire! I believe you will need the right to live and work in the EU and a JAR ATPL. They have several non-europeans working for them. Probably most important qual is a Type Rating! Don't expect to do huge amounts of flying, main job for the Herc is oil spill standby. Website doesn't show any vacancies at present but may be worth a CV. Overall a pretty good job if you are not chasing hours. Company part owned by Safair. Contact details at www.aircontractors.com
Best wishes
