Hi,

I would apprecite any constructive (positive/negative) comments about BMI Baby. T&C all the usual stuff. I've seen PPJN.

Anyone got any info?? PPRUNE lost for words, never!

I'm assuming it's OK, as I haven't seen many threads with people having an axe to grind.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nothing negative about bmi. One of the best companies to work for. Just received a pay rise. On time may I add. Things are looking good for the future and for those that collect type ratings an Airbus looks likely to replace the 737.

Has anyone managed to get a job from using the on line application form? Or is this a case of who you know ?

When is this likely? I thought bmibaby were still receiving B737s?

I hope you keep the classics, they are getting fewer in the UK (except Jet2).

Which bit of BMI Baby do you work for Hudson Bay? Who do I apply to for mine? It'll probably take a year to get it through payroll if it's anything like getting our expenses paid back!

I'm guessing the Management bit. (I use the term loosely)

Or the bit with it's collective head in the sand. (there's a lot like that in bmi).

Medium term (beyond the next few years) forget bmi baby for a career......it won't exist! It's a skinny little minnow scavenging in all the dark corners, safe from where the real competition hasn't bothered to forage..........yet.

Have baby said anything more about recruitment, if these new (but older) 737's are on the way?

Would be nice to know after being told a long long time ago, i'd be contacted if anything new was coming up?

Yeah 2.4% non negotiable mainline get more (they get en annual increment on top). We also get to pay more tax on our sector pay Captains @£300 per month worse off!

Payrise?!!!

Should be some recruitment when the training dept get the backlog down. There are a number of experienced guys on the move soon (I know of some waiting until they get start dates elsewhere before notice going in).

Why? bmi is strongly rumoured to be in all manner of trouble (see other posts on the forum). bmibaby boss left the company last week under very mysterious circumstances. I'd stay put if I were you and if you must move go to one of the low cost (not bmi baby) or charter airlines

To be honest it is a lifestyle move! I really would like to be based from home in Manchester (or LBA/LPL).....hence bmibaby. Also looking at the other usual suspects.

I have not heard anything out of the ordinary about bmibaby, just the usual rumours that accompany most airlines, hence me wanting to apply.

Thanks for the advice, but still need to get home (wife has had enough of me living away!), and sooner rather than later.

Again, if any of you guys could give me some help with regards to whom I should be speaking to, would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Try Ryanair or easyJet with a base at LPL.
