Mytravel interview
Hi chaps, think I might have a chance with MYT.
Does anyone know anything about the MYT selection process or what they might ask in the interview, ie. technical stuff about the A320, Met questions, theory of flight etc? I searched the forum but couldn't find much.
Best wishes

When I first wrote to them this time last year, their requirements were as follows:
UK ATPL, 1500 hrs with a large portion on large multi engine airplanes - ATR, ATP. Saab 3000 series, DH7/8 etc.....or a rating on the bus with 500hrs on type and 1500 total, they also like ex-military guys.
It's like everything though, if they can't find enough people with the experience listed above, then they have to look at the next rung down.

Did my interview with them about a year ago;
Day 1:
- Company presentation
- Written Verbal reasoning test
- Written Math test
- Group exercise (stranded on deserted island etc etc..)
- Interview with Fleet manager and HR person (your background, about the company, why do you want to work for.., what would you do if a capt.., chance to ask them questions as well)
- Technical interview (basic aerodynamics, depending on experience some type specific questions, etops)
Day 2:
Sim assessment on 320
nice people, informal interview.
Good Luck !

The main reason at that time was that I had 500 hrs on type. Not sure what the current situtation is. Yes, I did get in !

Had the Business interview, Tech Interview, Numerical and Verbal reasoning tests from hell on Wednesday, The sim ride was on Thursday. Director of Flight Ops called me after the sim and said "Welcome on board son" so as you can imagine, Thursday night was erm.. silly
As for flying experience and how I got in...
Left Flight School in 2004 with an integrated FATPL and couldn't find a job, so bought an A320 Rating. The company I did the rating with were supposed to put me forward for a job... yeah right! so I just kept pestering MYT and it worked!
It's only a contract until the end of Oct, but should be able to get 400hrs or so..
