Revalidation to what licence

I have to renew my UK ATPL. The CAA have sent me a reminder and included two application forms, one for a JAA ATPL and one for a UK ATPL.

Which is best (in terms of renewing it and grandfather rights and importantly ease of applying for future flying jobs home and abroad)

Hey Pin,
I don't know the answers you seek. However, I have a UK ATPL and I hope to obtain a JAA ATPL as I think it may make things a little easier in the future based upon job requirements I have seen over the last 18 months.
Good luck.

I run both concurrently,my employer requires me to have a JAT licence and the IMC priveleges which are only embedded within the UK CPL/ATPL are very useful for the light aircraft flying. The extra licence is a lot cheaper than thr hassle of keeping up asingle crew IR or IMC rating renewals.
