I have been invited back for a second chance of the BA S/H DEP and am not looking forward to the interviews again.
Im just wondering if i can use the same examples of the answers to the myriad of questions that they ask in the one to one interview as i used last year. Or do they record the answers and expect new ones.
Of course alot has happened in the last year and will be using new material but I used some good one's last year and if able i'd like to use them again.
Has anyone been AGAIN recently and are the questions the same as before or have you got some new one's.
Any help much appreciated.

Please don't take offence - but BA are really struggling to recruit at the moment because what they are offering is not very good (intially they thought that type rated 777 pilots would apply!!) - so relax, try and concentrate on the bits that felt uncomfortable last time round and good luck!

Unless you have had experiences which are better answers to the questions in the interim use the same ones. (Unless they were pants to begin with).
During my interview I was faced with the dreaded repetition of a story having used it too soon. But since the question was along the lines of the 'most challenging' (can't quite remember but it was something like that) I said 'The example I gave you when I did x was the most challenging - I can give you another slightly less challenging example if you wish.' They said - 'No, that's fine' and went on to the next question.
If you can offer to repeat a story in the same interview I would have thought doing it a year later would be fine!
In fact, unless all your new examples are very recent I would be suspicious as to how your past had changed so much in the the interim

Capt.
I took the test March last year and recieved the recall a few weeks ago. They are calling people about 6-8 weeks ahead of the one year mark.
Sean
No offence taken! I'm aware of the discord in BA but even with that in mind it will be 100 times better than my current crowd.
Last year i got to the sim and made a couple of boo boo's that just stopped me short of getting in. I've worked hard on them and if succesful at interview i think i stand a better chance this time round......mainly because im going to go in more relaxed and be myself.
Cheers

I think your right and will use many from last year.
One or two thing have happened in that year which are absolute crackers and have adjusted my crib sheet accordingly

B.A. Selection Tests
I am looking for some good books to use to swat up for the BA Maths and English tests on Day 1. Anyone got any good pointers, as my English needs a lot of work!
Also, anybody know the format for the day?
Many thanks.

If I could add my tuppence worth -
I've just been through the second time. The format was the same, and I used the same answers in the int this time round. Last year I got through to the sim which was a grilling. Apparently if you're a borderline pass on day one (I was) you get all the tough questions as a double check while you're trying to fly the route.
This year I was told I had a straight pass on day one, and the sim check was a straight forward route to land with no awkward questions.
Hope this helps

I guess if you're a real wizz-kid and can easily process and respond to a difficult question at a quiet point in the flight, you should go for it. I would like to think that they are mostly trying to 'weed out' those who can't prioritise rather than spot the wizz-kids, but the strategy finds both.
The immortal phrase "Can we talk about that after landing?" sure seems a better way to go than screwing up your sim assessment but I don't work in BA recruitment, so please read this with the usual health warning... That I could just be talking bollocks.

I got a recall letter and am considering re-applying. Went online today, and can't log back in. It says it doesn't even recognise my email address. I stupidly threw away the recall letter - does anyone have contact info so I can call and check on what to do??

Very helpful thank you! Did you get the call a few days later and if so when do you start?
John Try the SHL website which has several tests online with instant answers and post mortem.
Also try "Passing Psychometric Test" by Andrea Shavick ISBN no.1-85703-819-3 £9.99 from WH Smiths.

Takes about a week or two. I was well gutted when i recieved it last year but still want another shot. It's what i want and i'm going to really spell that out this time without sounding too desperate and crying in the interview. Don't think that helped me last time

Guys I know it sounds strange but no news can later turn into good news. BA run review boards, someone may not have reached a certain standard in one area however you may have score well in other areas. These are discussed through the review boards. Hope it helps. Once again no news may just mean BA are having a better look at you.
Good luck
