Age 60 DC Event
There's an event coming up in DC for pilots who want to change the 60 rule. They call it a 'Blitz'.
The deal is that pilots from all over come to DC, meet and head over to legislators offices to lobby/ask for the rule to be amended.
I found a bunch of info on another forum and will re-post it here for those of you who want the rule changed.
Right now the legislation that should come up for a vote this year would raise retirement age to 65.
Here's the deal:
It's March 14-15
You can come for one day or two
Pilots will be at the Holiday Inn on the Hill. That's home base.
If you are coming, make appointments with your senataors and rep.
Other appointments will be made with senators (I guess most of the push will be in the senate) that are leaning no or unknown.
The organizers want you to contact them so they can get a handle on how many show and so they can schedule appointments. These guys are:
Primary Contact: [email protected]
Secondary Contacts: [email protected]
[email protected]
They'll guys out in teams of two or three, and will arm them with material to hand out in the offices.
Not sure at this time what time it starts each day. They'll meet in the morning before people head off to their meetings.
There's more info on hotels, etc. Anybody need the info?
