Not the life of a low cost crew!
Caught this brilliant clip on www.youtube.com and knew I had to get out of low cost airlines with 30 minute turn arounds and 6 days rostering a week, 6 sector days....

Thats a typical east coast trip to Europe. If you live close to base you are probably away from home something like 50 hours with a 24 plus layover in a great city . Best flying there is IMHO (after you've finished playing with fast jets that is!!)

What a great little video. I've been doing long haul for about 6 months and that is it in a nutshell.
It's a pity they didn't show you the local time when the guy woke up on his first night - It's a bit annoying when you go to the states, wake up about 3am and realise that the shops don't open till 10am and you have to go back to work at 4.30pm!
