Talking Luxair

I hear Luxair is hiring soon. Does anyone have any ideas of what they are looking for? Hours req. TR req. ect???? Any advice of how to get one's CV to the top of the pile?

Good luck to all the other job hunters.

Hi all,
I have the Luxair initial interview soon and I don't know what to expect.
Does someone has some information about the initial interview, the psycho-technical test and the sim check.
Many thanks.

Luxair interview

I'm going to the Luxair initial interview in the beginning of January.
Does anyone know what can I expect during the interview?

Not much special, but be prepared to come with a well constructed story as to why you like to come to LUX and if you would stay for a longer time and why you would do so. They're a bit afraid you'd get the rating, 1500 hrs and bugger off again..

Lightbulb Luxair

Hey All,

just a question of anyone has info on Luxair assessments, I'm due there the beginning of March and would like to be prepped as well as possible. I've got the general airline info (www.luxair.lu) but am struggling to find tech questions, sim procedures, the usual assessment info. If anyone can help out it would be much appreciated!! If I find anything in the mean time, I'll post it here. Thanx

Greets, Xelcia

Hi Xelcia,

Do you have any feedback about your assessment at Luxair?

Thanks a lot

Unfortunately the assessment has been cancelled...

so I can't give you much feedback on that.

Best of Luck,

Do they ask any technical questions? Or is it more a relaxed interview to find out how you are as a person?

Kind regards,
Steven

Have to say I worked as a F/O with Luxair in the early 90's. on the 737s. Some of their Capts were basically appalling but I liked it their. Engineering were top class and the 737 's were minded like babies.

If I didnt have a ball and chain with kids attaached else where on this planet I would move back to Lux in the morning. They are an odd race, a bordering on hate or love of germans, french and the dutch. Std of living there is tops and salaries v good.

If I was starting off again Lux would be very desirable. I'm sure Luxair have come on leaps and bounds since I have been there so go for it. They'll make a mule of getting into the co. but all these assessment interviews but once your in your in. When I was there fuel was never an issue...maybe same today.

Best enginneers I have ever dealt with....and I have dealt with a lot in my day.

Bearcat,

Sorry to say, but from the 90's, a lot has changed, don't see Luxair as an Eldorado...
The only advantage is that you are home every night.

What planes are they hiring into at Luxair? Also, do a lot of Luxair pilots migrate over to Cargolux, or vice versa? Cheers mates!
