British Airways Hold Pool

Hi

I got the call earlier this week, I am in the BA hold pool! Does anybody know how long I can expect to remain in the pool?

Or have any info on what courses (type) are being run and when, All information appreciated as i can't wait to get started.

Congratulations on the job - a great christmas present.

Am starting on Feb 2 on the 777. I had my offer back in September. I understand about 4 months is standard at the moment, but it will be fleet dependant. Your profile says CPL so I guess you will be SH, and I don't know much about that.

no almost about it! A certainty, you wouldn't qualify for ZFT on longhaul, and BA won't take you to base.

I only have TP time and am LH. Min requirements for ZFT are TP of 50T MTOW.

Ok, so not many TP's over 50T other than C130's, but if we are being pedantic . . . .

Can someone clarify this ZFT rule because the way BA writes it on their requirements is confusing.

If you have over 2000 hours and 500 hours on a 320/737/757 etc can you qualify for the 777? Anyone getting called for the 75/76 fleet?

Happy Holidays.....

I was in the holding pool for 4 hours.

I was just getting used to the water when I was taken out.

What was your total and TP time? How much TP command time?

Short haul would be brilliant, I just want a start date the waiting is painful!

Raysalmon, I have about 150 TP hours no command time.

Just for info, heard it from the horses mouth the other day....

Base training will soon be out for ALL fleets as the company has negotiated ZFT across the board.

sad but true

have fun...

oh and any previous experience (significant hours) over 15 ton will allow 777. 75/76 very full and oversubscribed after allowance restructuring.
