Inter Airlines Be Careful!!!

HI folks,

please be carefull if you get offerd a job as Captain or Firstofficer on Fokker 100, 737 or A321 for INTER AIRLINES in Turkey.

Why??

I can give you some points.

1. especially for the Fokker you will have no base, that means this week you fly in Turkey, the next mont you will based in myanmar /Burma the other month in Afrika and so on.

2. You will have probelms to receive your sallary as well as per day diems

3, If you are a foreigner they also like not to pay for you medical

4. If you take leave for example during christmas than Inter will reduce your sallary for the days you are absence....

5. Rumors says that I fokker goes to AMS base the other one stays in AYT and might be goeing on contract to Afrika ??...

6. You have 24 hours standby and the weekly schedule will change daily..so no time to plan for your leisure activity or family

If you are unemployed than take the job otherwise donīt try it.

So please donīt try it like me or you will learn it a hard way.

Alsays safe and happy landings

Exclamation

Been there, and hasn't been that bad.

Even Myanmar was fun in the end.

But I really wonder who's going to fly their busses now, I don't see anyone around...

Anyway, cheers to all ex EU jet folks there.
Keep the dirty side down ...

Been there and .... oeps .......still AM there .... and even on the Fokker so couldnt stop myself to respond on some points from mikey26

1. As a matter of fact you DO have a base; either Antalya or Istanbul in the summer and yes in the winter period the planes go on wetlease jobs all around the world. Nothing strange about that and no secret. Actually like fekix I enjoyed Myanmar and will probably enjoy whatever comes up next.

2. Salary never has been a problem. Per diems were sometimes late but eventually always got paid.

3. This is stated in the contract that you get before starting to work so nothing secret about that.

4. This was a problem that I briefly encountered myself but it was corrected. Usually wintertime is quiet (like now) and then going home or taking off is no problem and will not be cut on pay.

5. True....and???

6. Standby is no longer than 12 hours and then normal minimum rest. In the summer period it is true that leisure time is limited but that is due to the nature of the charter business. Its a charter operation, no all in vacation resort. In turkey summertime is high season. After october lots of time available for family and leisure

Feel free to inform with the EU jet guys who unfortunately are leaving due to jobs at Ryan-air.... Im very confident that they will be glad to tell you about Inter... we will miss those guys and I know they will miss Inter too....

Hope your flying by now fekix....come and visit again some time... and mikey, good luck in your new carreer

Just recently finished a contract with Inter and would recommend anyone wanting loads of jet time, a good bunch to work and socialise with and a great place to live to go to Inter.
I thought Turkey was great and was sad to leave. It is not for every1 (obviously from mikey's post!), but I think there are MANY jobs that are worse and If i had the chance to go back and work for them again I would without hesitation!
Ok they dont pay for medical but neither do the likes of FR!!!! so whats the problem!
all of what is stated on the initial post is true but it is explained to you when you sign up. To be honest everything I was told about the pay and the job was correct from my interview. I had no surprises and was paid on time and regularly. take it or leave it! I would move from many a job to go back to Inter.
As far asI was concerned it was brilliant.

Fekix: hope all is well and you are flying again. good luck.

All the guys still there, Hope COCO's is keeping you entertained and good luck with all of you prospects......
Special thanks to the Fleet Cpt of F100, great chap. thanks.
Cheers all

only take on TR guys if you are non Turkish. Dont pay for some turkish guys either.

they dont have a TRTO status as far as I know and hence why they take on only TR guys.

LOADS of jobs available in Turkey but you have to go there and have a rating. wont get anywhere with emails and phone calls in my experience

hours no problem even with minimum, but U NEED TR. that goes for practicaly every operator down there.
good luck all

You are right here... Turkey is all about PERSONAL relations and seeiing people.... GO to companies if you want something and talk to the Chiefs... it is the only way...

As far as INTER is concerned...

yes we also take Type Rated only or if non type rated and willing to arrange this yourself.

Reason?

So far there is enough people either with ratings or willing to invest in one.

Maybe not an ideal situation but commerce is ruling here too....

good luck to you guys...

Bad move

The owner of this company is a crook. Stay well clear. He has a list of people and companies that he owes money to and is not to be trusted. There are plenty of good people working there and he does not deserve to have them. He treats his staff very badly and has been known to let people go with no notice or salary. Watch your money if you have any dealings with Inter
