Guys get an assessment after 3,000 factored hours provided you have no problems on any of your training reports and get on well with your base captain.
There is rumour that there is a 10 month waiting list for an assessment but guys are still only waiting 2 months. There could be a wait of up to 1 year for a command training slot, but apparently they are expecting 100 internal promotions next year.

Expect 5 earlies:mix of 2 sector 0515-0620 local report finish around 1300 and 4 sector 0600 local rpt finish 1625 (PSA/INV).
After fantastically recouperating 2 days off, 5 lates generally 4X4 sectors 10-11hrs duty (AMS/CIA) finish with 2 sector.4 days off.
Then lots of days off at end of 12months as you will have done 900hrs!

Two questions:
1. Could time to command be impacted by fleet type (i.e., time-to-command on the 737NG is quicker than the Airbus or vice versa)?
2. I can't quite recall, but does Easy have an Amsterdam base and is it popular? If so, on which type - Airbus or 737NG?
Cheers

I'm 737 qualified, 10.000hrs+ and TRI/TRE.
what would be my carrier prospect with Easy?
How long could it take to be based in DTM?
is the grass greener with Easy...
Thanks for your advises.

AFAIK they are not taking direct entry commands on the 737 unless you are too good to pass up. i.e. you've been a training manager or bring some kind of benefit easyJet can't find within its own ranks.
DTM is an Airbus base, again the same rules apply to the Airbus. No direct entry commands unless you have something that eJ needs.
DTM base is very oversubscribed with lots of Belgians and Dutch based there. Have a friend on the list and a while ago he was about the 14th Captain on the list waiting to be transferred. For a base with 3 aircraft the wait maybe long. However eJ want to grow their market share from 4% to 20% in Germany so expect other bases to open.
There are currently over 80 people waiting on the command list. Expect around 2 years (2 sim checks before nomination (1 year) and then time from nomination to selection to being offered a course date) at the moment from joining eJ to gaining a command if coming as an SFO.
No AMS base as AMS airport charges are horrendous so consequently no expansion.....

JP4, if you're looking for a German base then joining easyJet would be a good move as we are looking to increase market share so as I say many more bases.
Also latest rumour is a French base to compliment Orly. Marseille is rumoured.

Again thanks for those valuable inputs Rick.
Do they still organize information days as they did before? I don't find any info about this on their site.
