Privatair
Hi everybody,
does anyone know about the CURRENT conditions with Privatair...eg. starting salary, rosters...
Is the cockpit work and CRM similar or even equal with the majors?
What does the screening process look like right now? Any news or changes to the past?
Hope I didn't miss any previous posts
Thanks in advance

PrivatAir is still very close aligned with Lufthansa in an operational sense. LH is still manning a lot of the PA trans-atlantic flights with their crews since the codeshare agreement is still valid. But this only applies to the skedflights on behalf of LH. So if you don't wear the yellow LH ID-tag you don't even have a slim chance to make it onto their flightdecks.
It may get better once LH feels the need to take all crews to man their A380s which will require a huge concentration of manpower who are then needed to fly the PA flights.
Nevertheless, you may feel free to mail an application to PA. For the times after the LH domination. They will keep it on file if you come along with appropriate qualification.

Thanks for info,
actually that was my information I had a couple of months ago. But rumors presently say there was a bunch of guys hired directly from PA for the DUS-EWR and Airbus Shuttle ops out of HAM.
So I was wondering if there has been any change...it's most probably always the best to just apply, but I am just curious and only interested in some general infos.
But do you or sb else know more about the company in general, I mean if you're being hired by PA without the LH ID. How is it working for them??
Thanks

Hi ADIRS,
I understand that Lufthansa, has nothing to do with the recruitment with Privatair. They have some pilots flying with the Privatair crew out of MUC. ( About 50% of the cockpit crew) But these guys will be returning to Lufthansa soon.
The people I know there, are happy with the job and people they work with. Apparently, there are a lot nationalities and the working environment is quite good.
But like you said, it doesn't hurt to apply.
Good luck
