Americans at Emirates

This wide-body driver from the US is interested in applying for Emirates Airways. Before embarking on a lengthy selection process, what chance does a Yankee have, and if so, how are Americans, in general, treated on the flight deck of Emirates Airways? I need to know what they are looking for, and whether or not I would even fit in? In any case, I fly throughout that region often, and I am impressed, to say the least, by their operation in Dubai. Any information from current employees would be appreciated.

Well, as a frequent passenger on EK, I would say that they have quite a number of US and Canadian pilots; this is based on listening to the announcements from the flight deck.
