long haul jobs?

Hi all,

my experience is:

1300 hrs total
1000 hrs jet time on Bae146

Am I experienced enough for long haul company selections?

I found a company with b767 but they want €40.000 for the type rating: is the price honest? is the b767 marketable?

I really don't want to pay, but I have to work and up to now no jobs available apart of Ryan...but ryan is NOT for ME!!

thank you for all sujjestion

Liftman,

You are being ripped off. Hang out for a while on the 146 and wait until they are willing to "pay" for your conversion training.

hey there!
I am flying the 767 also, started with 190Hrs total time.
I can say one thing to you.... As soon as you are used to the long
haul flight... you never want something different!!
I paid 45K for my rating but I will get 25K back in 3 years.
Goodluck!
Cheers

I suppose with 190 hours total time you are very well qualified to talk about the differences between longhaul and short haul.

That is if HollandExel (correct?) is still in business by then...

Well, it's not everybody , who are so lucky to begin the pilot carrer with 190h flying a B767 !

I believe and all of you know , starting in short-haul , gives you more experience in all routines .

Good luck!

liftman,
if you re looking for a 146 job,
give city jet a try,
we re having some ex azzura pilots on contract here at the moment
good luck anyway,
i personally dont think that 1000 jet time will give you much regional jet experience to consider long haul , i would wait another thousand if I was you
