I completed a contract for them and got paid on time (and the right amount!!!) and that was good enough for me.

You could certainly do a lot worse as far as agencies are concerned (not mentioning any names *cough* Rishworth, Parc *cough*)

I have used them both as Contractair and as AA. No problems at all. They seemed to go out of their way to make sure everything was set up at the beginning and the end of the contract. Paid entire amount, on time (actually early). Would use them again.

Have had several calls about jobs etc...Seem to be above average!

Best of the Bunch in my opinion. Always there for you, always pay on time. No complaints whatsoever

A bit secondhand, but flew back home with some chaps who worked for them and they were very happy with them. Apparently they legal, decent, honest and truthful - rather unusual in aviation nowadays!

Would recommend them unreservedly.

Also AIR, Barry is a genuine bloke too.

Not that Frances is a bloke

Awww,

Ain't that nice? A contractair love-in!!

Nice of the contractair staff to take time from their busy day and post here!

Sorry to post folks, but this thread needs balance! I had a BAD experience with these people.

Airbus Jockey,

Instead of throwing your teddy out of the cot and responding like a complete t*ss*r, why not EXPAND on the reasons for your discontentment in a rational and thoughtful way.

If you do that, it would be a valuable contribution to the question.

Regards, Slim ( not on the staff of Contractair)

Slim,

Why should I?

And who is throwing their teddies out of cots?

I am justifiably pointing out that I and I know of others, were most defiinitely not satisfied with their service. This thread is putting one point of view and I am countering that with another POV based on personal experience.

You have a problem with that?

Well Well Airbus Jockey noticed you only just registered, I mean us guys have actually worked for them and very satisfied I might add. We have had actual work experience on contracts etc.... As Slim pointed out we can actually state the good points of working for this agency, I for some reason dont think you have ever worked for them. I think you are perhaps competition trying to bad mouth them. I was really enjoying this thread because for once there was a nice positive thread about a decent hard working agency, and you make a heavy statement and won`t substantiate it.

From a genuine Airbus pilot ( not Contractair staff either)......... perhaps they are busy finding other good contracts for us guys......

But STOKKEN, everyone knows you are FC from Contractair!!

Why would you pretend otherwise?? It's the worst kept secret on PPRuNE!!

And of course just because I state I had a bad experience with them. I just have to be from another agency...

I wouldn't contract with ANY agency after what I have experienced. Been with 3 and am glad to be out of it. You just do not get the protection you should with agencies, they will not back you up in any dispute with the airline. It makes sense in a way as that's where theor bread and butter is....

I have completed two contracts with Contractair both within the last 5 years. Being a contract pilot I have had my fingers burnt many times with various agencies but both experiences I had with this company have been positive. I have never been on a contract where there have not been any problems or misunderstandings or the occasional late payment, but any issues that arose were dealt with quickly and fairly by Contractair, which is much better than some of the agencies I have worked for. If you are planning to go down the contract agency road go you could do a lot worse than sign up with this bunch.

Now now Fr.......sorry STOKKEN!

I have no desire to conduct anything in private, I have nothing to hide from the public gaze here! You have been telling lies and pursuing an agenda and I am exposing it.

You have not hidden your self very well I'm afraid. A quick search on your posts reveals an awful lot!

The vast majority of your posts are on, surprise, surprise, agencies! Your purpose here is to slag off other agencies, but wait, the one agency who you praise to the hills is.....wait for it.......Contractair!!

I hope you never take up a job working for an intelligence agency, because you are lousy at covering your tracks!

It's a pretty low act coming on here and trying to score points for your own company in this sneaky manner.

As for me? I will NEVER work for any agency. PARC, IAC, Rishworth, CA etc etc. You are all the same and offer nothing for pilots. You take the money and run and hide and offer NO protection to pilots when the going gets tough.

Cut out the middleman I say! Go on your own!

Dear dear. No protection? It's a harsh world out there. Contracting is either for you, or it ain't. That's why contractors generally earn good wages, mostly free of deductions. The idea is that a pilot is selling his services to suit himself. Agencies provide the "shop" to select the next job.

If you really want to go find your own job, that's OK too. Make sure you get a contract before you start working though. It's funny how the terms and conditions can change quite a lot to suit the airline after a month or two. Who looks after you then?

Airbus Jockey,

A little harsh I think.

You are all the same and offer nothing for pilots. You take the money and run and hide and offer NO protection to pilots when the going gets tough.
Now that's not strictly true is it?! Rather sweeping in fact. Anyway, how do you know if you will never work for an agency?

Please don't tar us all with your rather large brush as you may one day need us!!
