Direct Personel/Good/Bad/Dishonest

Do to the recent departures of many crew from Direct Personell/Ireland concerning contract violations this thread was created.
They never back you if contacted concerning over duty days, flying bad aircraft etc.
They state to never operate such as this then when you are terminated for refusing to fly as such they point to the clause in your contract that either party can terminate with 2 weeks notice.
Even after many letters complaining about the airline operating as such.
Meanwhile they know that the crew is being forced to operate under above conditions.
This is a company to avoid by all means.
From a long time employee!
Only after money, Crew members are a dime a dozen.
Definite trailer park types an should be avoided if you value your credintials!
No one with experiance or knowledge of how things are properly done should appy here.

Got an email from a friend of mine a few weeks back. He had been with Direct/Air Atlanta. The story goes (short version) is he caused a delay due to improper cargo loading. AAI says we don't need you, here's your two weeks notice.

Direct's position? Sorry there is nothing we can do.

I also used them when I was with AAI. No help at all! Any complaints to them about AAI resulted in the usual line, "we'll talk to them about that". Result, "there is nothing we can do".

As much as I hate to say it, Direct was much better when Jerry O'Springer was there. Since his departure Direct has sunk to the level of IAC and Best USA.

My advice is to stay away from Direct. What ever they say, they can not and will not deliver.

I recommend euro-pacific, if you do need a contract agent.

RightOn, Phil Squares,

I agree entirely, especially the last two sentences.

You must have been around AAI about the same time as me!

Cheers, FD
