ryanair in CIA
hi all
i´m starting work with ryanair in feb. as F/O, thru brookfield aviation, after doing a 3 week course in EMA for conversion from 737NGefis to 737NGPFD.
anybody working in contract in CIA for FR could give me info about real working conditions, lifestyle of pilots, money, looks of the cabin crew . etc??
i would appreciate any comments, but only from real FR working people....
i´ve been laid off from my previous company flying B737´s and i´m very excited about this new job......so `please: i don´t need the negative input of people who hate ryanair or LCC´s in general...
thank u and safe flying

Welcome
Hi 737pa,
Congratulations on joining us at the Ryans. Rome is an excellent base, the base Captain is a gentleman, and the flying is fantastic. If you haven't gathered already, there are any number of people ready to throw abuse at Ryanair, but if you, like myself, are a Brookfield contractor, you'll make a pile of dough whilst working for the firm that's transformed Europe. Lucky bugger to have gotten the Eternal City. Enjoy, lad. The craic is mighty!
Ozi.

Congratulations 737lpa!
- Have you got a 5 year contract?
- Will you have the chance to get a permanent contract with FR directly later on?
- What's the roster pattern you will be having?(Is it still possible to have a 3on-3off?)
- Was it your choice to go to CIA? Was it available GRO? Will you have CIA as a fixed base?
Thanks for the info

hi crisidebrian
indeed i have a 5 year contract w brookfield aviation to work for ryanair
CIA will be my main base, although they have the right to change me to another base for certain periods of time.....
roaster is 5 on , 3 off, while on ur main base (CIA in my case), and 5 on, 5 off, while in another base
i also requested GRO as my priority (i´m spanish), but they gave me my second choice (CIA), ,,,although they say i can request GRO again if there are any empties there...

Hi 737lpa
Im also joining FR in 2005. I doing the course at EMA in March and would like to know more about it. Things like the schedule, good accommodation at EMA (when staying for 2-3 weeks), the content of the course and thing like that. Really anything that you can tell would be much appreciated. Like you I also requested GRO as Nr 1 and CIA as Nr 2 but don’t know yet where I’ll be based.
Regards!
