BA 777s

Was wondering what the general consensus was for the BA 777 drivers out there re the fact that this a/c does the "cr*p" compared to the 747. Have just returned from GRU expecting it to be on 777 and find the 747 has poached probably the only decent 777 trip (or ex-trip!). Will the BA 777 (even the -300?) ever go beyond Houston, Newark, Lusaka, Kingston (!)......???

Why can't you post this in the right place?

I think you will find the 'drivers' take what aeroplane they are flying to wherever the employer tells them to. I don't recall GRU being very high on my list of desired destinations. What it did have I remember was slow internet connections and postings in the wrong place really do get on yer tits!

But I really enjoyed seven days in ANU, TAB or simular each month! Don't tell me they are no more since I was put out to pasture!!

All that work to get the bigger bunk, hopefully they are still being used.

777 to Lusaka

Oh, 777 to Lusaka? When did/does that start??? Has always been on 767, also, I wouldn't complain, try TLV, ACC, LUA, LUN,NBO, and the rest that is on there. The 777 has some nice trips out of LGW, so I would think before I complain again. Anyway, the 777 will be configured to do Perth direct soon, so that'll be a lovely 4 day trip for you. Enjoy

GRU (our last long-range trip) went to the 400 at the end of last month (I was operating the last Triple).

LUN (Lusaka) was a 777 trip a couple of years ago (only managed one).

The LGW trips aren't so good now. The ATL is being reduced from 3 crew to 2 in the New Year, the ANU always seems to be shorter these days (no full day off) and Texas/Florida are rarely long enough to be able to go and do anything.

Don't get me started about the bunks, not that we need them now!!

Edited to say: Perth, you're 'aving a larf mate!
