Anybody out there who has already gone through the training and transition to line flying with this airline?
I have just received my start date in December so any constructive information about the transition to life in The Airline and indeed Singapore as a whole would be much appreciated.
I am not infamiliar with the Country and surrounding area but it is always good to hear from those who have travelled the road before! Thanks in anticipation.

G'day O'neill
Can't help you much with what it is like to live and work in
Singapore but when you come to Sydney me and my bretheren (and sisteretheren) will be bringing your flight plan to you at the gate and briefing you - so welcome to my piece of turf and look forward to seeing you.

They have tried to make it look good by adding on the accommodation allowance to the Gross Figure. All figures are Singapore Dollars!!!!
Deduct tax of $28000 and say $36000 for accommodation and that leaves you with around $156000 which is £50300pa or £4200 per month.
I would like to know how they get to this figure of $220000 from their salary scales for Cargo as it does not add up. Take their figures with a large pinch of salt!!
Still a good deal for those from low cost countries like Indonesia,Sri Lanka ,India, etc or those elsewhere in the world with rubbish currencies. Not for those from Euroland,UK or elsewhere unless needs must.
