Ryanair....... in Europe.
Does anyone know the deal with Ryanair's bases in Europe?
Do pilots based in European bases get paid less than their counterparts in UK/Ireland, and are their t+c's different also?
Can a pilot joining FR request to go to a European base and in general what are their chances of getting it or how long would they have to wait?
Are ryanair taking on a lot of new pilots at the mo, and in general what is time to command if one has the hours....?
Lots of questions I know, but any answers greatly appreciated.
Safe flying everyone.

The pay at european bases are lower than at the UK bases. A CP makes just a little more than a FO at STN but then off course living is cheaper abroad...
You can apply for any base you want to but you will only be allocated if a slot becomes available.. All very reasonable
Time to command varies.. 2 OPC min..So expect around 2 years EVEN if you join with the hours required..That is how long the guys have waited who joined about 2 years ago an still have not got their command. But Ryanair has informed a lot of FO`s that command training will start shortly, so that could all change...

If You want to hear a lot of empty promises then go for it. If you have no other job as well.... In all other cases it is usually better to stay where You are. There are more people leaving sometimes as they are able to recruit. I have a lot of applications from guys on the table.
