B737NG Contract Salary Ques.
Hello,
A company that contracts B737NG FOs to foreign carriers has contacted me. One of the questions they asked is my salary expectations. Does anyone know what a begining FO (with no prior experience on a B737NG) for a B737NG makes? Would it be better to put my answer as an annual salary or an hourly rate? The company did not specify. Any other salary negotiation tips would really help as well.
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Depends where you are working in the world. If in the u.k. don't take less than about £30,000 - £42,000 all into start with. If they can afford NG then can afford to pay you this as a starter.
Some low cost carriers insult pilots by offering as low as someone working in McDonalds. Give these carriers a miss. You can do better than this.
Draw your line in the sand and stick to it . It will pay you dividends in the long run.

Think, fer chrissakes! Think! If thats all they pay pilots what do they pay their engineers? B*ggered if I'd leave the ground in an aircraft run like that, even if I was starving. Do you really want to get involved with cowboys like that?????
