women in the sandpit

Does anyone out there know the recruiting policies of the new start ups in the sandpit? Do they allow the chicks to have a turn or are they all still zero tolerance to the idea?

Careful what you wish for....... some of the locals have still a
problem if a female has a position who normaly "belong" in
their opinoion to a male. They do not see the quality........

Heard a chic voice from a Qatar callsign a few nights ago. Might have been wet leased cargo if they go for that kinda thing but might be worth investigating. Have heard female voice from Gulfair once or twice, but may have confused it with Brit FO, could not be sure.
Suggest you ring the major players and ask direct.
Good luck.

Maybe!

It came to mind George Michael, Boy George or even Elton John...

Thumbs down

Yes Qatar are now interviewing and hiring women. To their shame Emirates have only one token one (as far as I know) related to someone I think.

Good luck.

Oleo,
No need to worry about the token chic driver at EK any more, as there are none. Well have seen one or two dodgey looking fellas there, but am reasonabley sure they are not chics in drag!
Was once a pic of female pilot on recruiting web page, but think it may have been HR person dressed up!!! (Sometimes these pictures need to stay within the bedroom don't you think as they tend to cause confusion!)

Let them make the tea!

Life was much easier when the girls made the tea and the guys fly the plane!... and anyway whilst there are guys with experience unemployed why do we need the girlies?? Yep! bit of a dinasour but used to work great until they began to burn their bra's back in the early '60's....

Mercenary Really !!!! yep, chick in a flight deck = another empty kitchen. What do we need ladies in the flight deck for anyway ? if there is any ******* going on, I'm usually the one on the receiving end... me and most Ryanair pilots that is.

Pretty stupid reply!

Now that is the sort of reply I would have expected! How on earth could you possibly know how professional, or otherwise we may or may not be eh girlie?? I was being shot at whilst you were most likely still wetting your nappies so just wind your neck in an be thankfull that the times have changed for you for the better - but not necessarily for the better in general. And yes! - what about that empty kitchen??

The lady is just asking a legit question, give her a break man. Like it or not, there are two versions to our species, one is a bloke , one is a chick - thats it.

It's a shame you were not hit!!

Getting Shot at Ali? Where was this and who's side were you on? (with a name like Ali????)

I am surprised that this has not been moderated to the point of removal, with you and your bigget comments! It's a crying shame that you were not hit! And I suspect that it was bad accuracy on behalf of the gunner as apose to a testiment to your flying abilities.

Dinasour you may be, but you have to pull your head out of your arse and realise that the rest of your species died a LONG TIME AGO!!!

Gulf Air took on their first 2 female pilots earlier this year - both Europeans I believe.
