SV Executives are in continous breach of x patriate contracts.
Illeagal pinching is continuing and no law or human watch is present.
They are loosing credebility very fast which in return will have devestating effect on the flight operations in particular and the airlines as a whole. (Its already hapening very fast)
The whole operations is in shambels and deteriorating fast.
Local pilots ( the ones that know better )are awaiting for the 1st oportuinity to flee. (Some have already bailed out to NAS)
No wonder other operaters in the region are picking were they have left and are striving shame.(Shear ignorance)
The ship is sinking and the Governor has no clue of when to bail out.

So far I have not experienced that here, but have heard that it is happening.
The only negative I can say is that the housing here on Saudia city and the repair department is severly in need of a major overhaul.
Saudia has paid me up to this point everything in my contract.
This time and in my previous employment here.
Not like another EU airline that I flew for 6 years and pay was a constant argument, in which I lost thousands over this period.
I sincerely hope that this is not a sickness that is spreading to this area.

Hi Earl!
Breach of Contract??? Saudia??? Kuwait Airways???? Surely, no-one has ever uttered those words together in the same sentence.
One question: When they promised you something..... were their lips moving?

They dont breach the contract, they just ammend it everytime its up for renewal.
For instance Saudia is no longer funding the school system.
Now you will have to pay around 8,000 USD for each child going to school in the kingdom.
It will get expensive for some who have a few kids in school.
Really defeats the whole reason for working here.

As Earl has stated, they dont breach contracts, they just keep amending them! Its then up to you to accept the changes or leave!
One of these days they might actually wake up to the reality that they need expats, but I'm not holding my breath!!!!
Silly_goose, if thats also your email address, always thought that you were a FE, when did you get promoted ?
Monty, you really need to get rid of that chip, it cant be good for you!
Mutt.

Breach Of Contract
What do you call this, when Human resource amends a contract I hast still has not come up for renewal
In addition the same human resource department that does the recruitment are the same people that do the pinching and they call it company saving. All these actions are performed by amateurs and without assessing the impact of such decisions on the operations side or it is another way of saying we don’t need you expatriates any more which could not have happened at a better time. (By the way HR have no clue how a flight operation is run).
When the Airlines own nationals are waiting for the 1st opportunity to exodus what do you expect from expatriates to do? (Many have and are still awaiting NAS private company to start. NAS has already recruited the best of the Airlines crew and all the remaining ones with a sense of professionalism shall exit without looking back).
The whole organizational needs reshuffling with a new blood line and expertise that have a clue about aviation, other wise wait for the sinking ships news.
Other airlines in the region would not have expanded and ate the whole cake leaving the crumbs for the airline to pick. (Shame)
Until the next episode talk to you guys later.

Details, Bubba
Still waiting for the details, Silly Goose...and until you provide same, your comments have no validity at all.
So, put up or shut up.
Noticed your comments about GF as well...so spill the beans, if there are any.
Suspect you are just one of the many 'complainers' that pass thru the middle east, looking for the pot o' gold at the end of the non-existant rainbow.
"Silly goose'...indeed.

Why is this of any suprise?
The entire place is going from bad to worse and has been for some time! There are much better contracts being offered elsewhere,so why don`t you stop excepting second rate deals and leave them to their own devices until they start offering(and honouring) something decent.

Well, well, here we go again! To those of you who were subject to the GOSI scandal, here's another, especially during these times of $45/barrel oil. Last Friday's Saudi Gazette, page 2, had an interesting article. First paragraph:
"The Ministry of Labor announced a proposal to limit end of service benefits to three months under the new labor law, according to a report by Al-Madina, the Arabic lanauage daily newspaper."
A later paragraph (column 4) reads:
"Meanwhile, Dr. Ghazi Al-Gosaibi, minister of Labor, ruled out any differences or disputes engulfing the new labor law which is likely to be released in the few next months."
Bend over & spread 'em, guys, they're at it again!

This statement was retracted today in the Saudi papers.
Even if they did this then they would have to pay out all funds owed up to this point in an expats contract.
And start a new amended contract.
Perhaps they were trying to see how far they could push this issue.
This would have caused quite a few people to leave.
According to the papers and Saudia, not going to happen.
What they should realize is that NATS is recruiting and the salary is much better than Saudia.
Competition will help us all.
But then again, who wants to live in RUH.

If they were to offer me twice my salary i might consider it, however they are only offering what i get now!
411A. Silly Goose could have stated a number of valid points, such as the removal of schooling allowances due to the closure of the airline run school. Removal of family medical coverage, removal of term pass ticketing concessions, removal of US contractor shipping allowance, removal of vacation days. Removal of free igamas.
Mutt.
