OPS 1 - Subpart Q

Once again the Simpson proposal is on the agenda these days. With 3 successive weeks of 60 hours duty each, the aircrews are understandably on their toes. See the ECA comments.

The Danish government have publicly stated that they are in favour of the proposal. What is your governments attitude ?

Interestingly they voted to see lorry drivers hours limited to 56 hours per week. But they seem to think its OK for pilots to work 60 hours a week. How come? If we get tired we can't just pull into the next service station and have a break. And we don't have anything like the same limits that coach and lorry drivers have on taking breaks.
