Ryanair abandones pay freeze plan
...perhaps Ryanair beancounters feared industrial unrest this summer??
From RTE Aertel;
"Ryanair says its staff will receive a
3% pay rise, backdated to April 1.
The airline had been considering a pay
freeze as part of a cost-cutting
programme.
Ryanair earlier this year warned that
intense competition was driving fares
down and would lower its profits.
The airline said today's move was not
an indication of better times ahead,
but a reward for 'continued
productivity gains'."
