Better you "test" them before they test you
Be alerted and careful what you wish for.....

If you have any sense, then stay away.

For what it's worth they run a syhco, tech and sim test.

They are taking advantage of the pilot surplus that is prevalent at the moment. God may it die soon.

They only pay while you are on the job. I.e. if you are sitting at home waiting for them to call and they don't need you, no pay. I know of a case of 6 weeks and counting.

If you are prepared to pay for the "privilege" of flying an old, albeit a large A/C, then the job is for you.

Nice bunch of guys. If you are single, don't mind roster disruption and prepared to change location at the drop of a hat it is good fun and good experience.

They look after the icelandic pilots first though when the work dries up.

Devil I love the smell of Windup in the morning

Isnt that called "paying the market rate". Isnt that what you all want - free, open markets where everyone gets paid what they are worth? We could bring in communism if u like, and pay pilots the same as baggage handlers, but we found that when we tried that you guys started moaning about training and expertise blah blah.... You get paid for what you do as you will be employed through an agency - fill in your time sheet and you get paid. Its quite common actually, a lot of little people who live in vulgar little houses and shop at Tesco do it.

One Air Atlanta captain told me that due to the weak dollar his annual take home pay was down $20,000 last year. That is not the bread line.

Helioil - good luck and as Orion Man says, if you like the challenge you'll have fun.

Isnt aviation wonderful, all the great people you meet. And pilots.
