Air Europe Italy
I am sorry no one here found a minute to give you an answer.
I do not work for AE but I know people who do and can tell
you that the company doesn't really exist any more. Better
yet, its kept alive in order to allow Volare Airlines to operate,
by using Air Europe's Air Operator Certificate.
All costs and debts from the Volare Group are being "diverted"
to Air Europe... still Volare Group in a severely bad finacial
state.
There are a number of key figures trying to keep it afloat,
inlcuding that infamous russian-argentinian entepreneur...
but there is still a very good chance that paychecks could
bounce, one of these days...
Over the past year all Air Europe personnel have been
forced to accept the "tight" Volare contract... and that was
not easy.
Recently, there was a court case, with judgment delivered
just a few days ago: the 66 flight attendants fired because
they did not accept the Volare conditions, where all re-instated
by the judge.
This proves Volare is not doing the right thing and that people
working for them are forced into below standard conditions.
Even the fleet is now being downsized due to missed payments
of the lease agreements... and, last but not least, passengers
on long haul charter flights have no pillows, no blankets, no
movies, cause Volare ain't paying the bills either...
Hope I could be of assistance in shedding some light on this
very borderline operator.

VOLARE/ AIR-EUROPE
MEERKAT I agree with you. We are scheduled on a day to day basis not knowing what's going to be happening the next day ,whilst a bunch of brown nosed management pilots are running around saying that everything is fine . But the last rumour is that even the armenian-argentinian might have second thoughts.

Thanks, both of you, for taking the trouble to reply. Its a bit disapointing really as I had thought this might be a good alternative to my present employ.
