BRAL...... you seem an expert What is EOG? I think you will fine its called Short Haul at Gatwick
You ask "what will happen to the displaced pilots?"(when LGW is cutback) Well since they're all mainline pilots they will be posted to one of the over 170 positions available and vacant right now on other fleets within the company............ the very ones which were going to be offered to BACX employees but I guess since you know that LGW is going to be cut back your collegues will just lose out

Hi BRAL,
“unsurprisingly antagonised both BACC and BA management (not a bad achievement when you stop to think!!)”
I posted before about the cosy relationship between BACC and BA Management. This from the BALPA Log, Oct – Nov 03:
SMOKE AND MIRRORS?
Dear Sirs,
I was very disappointed with the last pay deal negotiated for me by BALPA. I believe that had BALPA simply accepted the two years of company offer and not given away the Christmas bonus and lateness credit etc. I would now be earning the same amount. In other words all the fuss about a large pay rise to bring me in line with the rest of Europe amounted to nothing. Some pilots did received large pay rises. The suspicious side of me is worried that many of my BALPA representatives fall into that category and now I am told that Rob Hall has defected to join British Airways management. Surely this cannot be true.
He wouldn't get us all to vote him a large pay rise and then abandon us would he? In order to quell my fears please would you publish the pay figures and tell me that it is just a rumour. Let us all know the truth. I have been an ardent supporter of BALPA for 30 years, despite it's shortcomings. I have argued against non BALPA members in bars around the world on many occasions. Regrettably I will be unable to continue to support BALPA unless I receive a satisfactory answer to my questions.

I take it your're not a BA pilot bat.man? If that is correct then why do you consider yourself an expert on relations between BA management and our union representatives? A single letter in The Log by one moaning Captain is not representative of the views of the other 3499 or so BA pilots. I would consider the relationship far from cosy, and as a BA pilot I have access to far more information than you. Just because the two aren't at constant loggerheads does not mean they are in each others pockets.
