Ryanair/Brookfield

I recently saw a Brookfield ad for B737NG crews on the type rating program. I deduce that this is for Ryanair. I believe this program was initiated first time about four or five months ago. Has anyone gone through with it or currently contemplating it ?

I understand basings are generally seniority based. Can anyone tell me where Ireland, Belgium, Italy and Sweden on the desire list ? Also, is Brookfield paying offshore ??

Thanks for any input in advance.

Contract captains as far as I am aware do not have allocated bases . They might fly 5 days from PIK , then 5 days from NYO et c. There is an opportunity to apply for a prefered base via company's WEB site but I do not know if it works .
Some people like this system . I even know some RYR captains who would like to change to conract . 5on/5off roster for many seems more attractive .

Contractors are rostered on a 5 on 5 off system and are used throughout Ryanair's bases i.e. you may do 5 days in Prestwick followed by 5 days in Stansted followed by 5 days in Hahn.

A preferred base can be selected and rostering will try and have you operate from there as often as possible but there are no guarantees.

As far as I know, the salary is paid offshore and therefore tax free, however it is left up to you to look after things like paying income tax, healthcare and pension, etc.

Hope this helps...
