I can truly say there frome experiance that the crew scheduler there at KUl( Bddi )was the best that I ever seen at AAI.
The station manager O.S. is also the best that they have to offer.
This was 18 months ago, not current information now.
Could only hope that the rest of the company followed the example of these 2.
If you are KUL based and work for Airbourne then it may be good for you.
If you work for the other crew leasing agent then you will not be happy.
They owed me over 18 months back pay , year increment increases etc.when they finally paid up.
After many arguments and letters.
With a new wife and baby I had enough.
Had I been with Airboune/Ace I probably would have stayed.
Just the family life was bad.
Which made everything else unexceptable.
If you sign a contract, make sure its with Airbourne..

If Airborne have the best contract for AA aircrew, then what on earth are the other agencies offering??!!
Lets look on the bright side, as things can only get better in aviation from now? Please reassure me.

i heard the new management at AAI (Avion Group) are considering a new contract for AAI employees due to be given out sometime in the coming few months. supposedly a 15 percent pay increase and better working conditions like 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off (paid). can anyone please confirm this or is it just a rumour.

try [email protected]
that'll do ya'
Pay raise papers just showed up on email....
$5/day raise across the board.
$50 perdiem
1.5% pay raise per annum
more 6wk "on" - 2 wk "off" contracts being offered
Those on 6/2 already behind the curve, no raise or perdiem when on "contract vacation"

As of about 18 months ago, the contract are the same for Airbourne and Direct. The main difference is that Direct pays on the 10th of each month and Airbourne is later. Also Airbourne is more critical about getting your timesheet on a certain day where as Direct is more forgiving. Direct also sends you a "confirmation of pay" by the 8th of each month where as Airbourne sends you nothing. Airbourne timesheets have to be sent in by the company where as Direct is sent in by the individual via fax or email. I personally think Direct makes it a lot easier to know what you are getting paid and easier in sending in your time.
