Not sure about crewing but rumour has it that they are looking for Ops D/O's to start asap.

Not quite correct. Still a couple of positions available for anyone who fancies the southwest. And yes, 2 aircraft but only one route should be a doddle.

The latest news is that they are 'desperate' for experienced Ops personnel, crewing is covered, although they will eventually be multifunctional Ops and crewing.
There could be a problem with the crew as the cabin crew have now been offered longhaul ex LGW, so their numbers could dwindle. They are already short of Ground Crew and will be shorter still if they also get LGW Cabin Crew positions.

I sent a prospective CV to the HR Manager of Sutton Harbour Holdings at the beginning of the month.

Last week I got a letter back with "VACANCY : FIRST OFFICER" towards the top. The letter went on to "acknowledge receipt of your recent application for the above position. We will contact you again in due course"'.

Hmmm, we'll see. I've only just qualified from Oxford just over a month ago and in fact, today got my blue booklet and licence in the post! This letter writing and CV sending game is interesting - got a rejection letter from GB Airways today. One day I will look back on this time and have a chuckle. No seriously, I will!

BTW, congrats to the BALPA team, last weekend's Employment Opportunities Conference was very good.
