LIDO IAC/RFC (on paper)
Hi,
I guess this will mostly apply to our lufthansa or fedex pilot group... for those of you who use LIDO as thier charting source I wonder if you have come up with a good "scan" on how to brief an approach the way the IACs are formatted...? Also on the enroute charts, how does one distinguish between LOW and HIGH navaids? Thanks! -downwindabeam |
Hi there,
1) i start at the map: MSA, Terrain Situation 2) down to the approach profile, from right to left: Intermediate ALT, Descent angle, Final Altitude, Minimum, MAPt, Missed App 3) the runway: length, specials, required landing distance, where do we vacate? basically its from the top to the bottom with the exception that I adress the runway part, which is in the middle of the chart, at the end to match the sequence of events during approach... have fun! |
