APU Start during refueling

I can remember i saw in on the FCTM on of the updates fore 2004 that the restriction not to start APU during refueling was deleted. I lost that update and i can't find something to prove that APU can be started while refueling is going on.
Anyone has that update on PDF ?

Thanks,

Sorry no, but I do know many places (in Europe anyway) where starting the APU will cause the refueller to punch his stop button and down tools.

From FCOM 2.01.30 P10a

"APU starts or shutdowns are permitted during refuel/defuel procedures. If it is necessary to operate the APU, the limits that follow apply :

An APU start is not permitted during a refuel/defuel procedure if the APU has failed to start or an automatic shutdown has occured

A normal APU shutdown must be completed if a fuel spill has occured during the refuel defuel procedure."

That's all very well, but the fuel companies have their own rules. It is good manners to ask the refueller whether he minds or not.

Cheers,

Thanks,

It was in Volume I, not the FCTM (757/767). It was in the Limitations section, and it was in only for one revision cycle. The next revision had a note saying that it was entered in error, and therefore removed. If it is no longer an aircraft limitation...
