777 wheel temps on hot days
Just curious if the Middle East guys have particular issues on the really hot days. I have to say that at 35 degrees and below, I haven't seen any issues.

Have been flying it for 5 years in the M.E......have never had a problem with tires and or brakes, and we are often at MTOGW, on very hot days. The one exception I can think of is going to Cairo, depending on ry can have a 3 mile taxi to gate and all downhill, so constantly on brakes.

Spent 10 years working on the 777 in the ME and never had an issue with Brake temps - dont ask me about Airbus though.. :uhoh:

Highway1,
What happens with the brake temps on an Airbus in the Middle East ? |
That would depend on whether you had CFM or IAE engines!

On short turn rounds it was always a struggle to get brake cooling achieved to remove the FCOM limitation - especially during the summer when the demand for cooling trucks was at its highest. That was just one less thing to worry about if it is a Boeing.
