Reduced GA Power 737

Again guys,

where does the reduced GA power from one push come from? And what is the athr aiming for? Where does full go around power come from?

Thanks!

One push gives a specified rate of climb (look it up in the manual)

Second push gives full G/A N1.

Where does the G/A thrust come from? From the engines I guess. (I'm afraid I don't understand what you are trying to ask.

I'm guessing he/she means the FMC, based on temperature, pressure and engine rating.

It's something like this: First TOGA push gives you pitch up to 15 degrees and A/T for speed based on flap setting. Once that's met, pitch is for airspeed and thrust is based on a 1000-1500 fpm climb (this is from a very sleepy memory).

My 'sleepy' memory gives me this...

First selection of the TOGA switch results in a rate of climb between 1000 and 2000 fpm, at the current flap setting, at the max allowable weight for that setting. (there is no reference to the actual weight of the airplane).

The second selection of TOGA (after the first selection result has stabilized), will result in full N1 power.

Now I'll go back to sleep...
