Fly By Wire
Hello guys,
I hope this question isn't repeated. Please explain how the ''Fly by wire'' technology works in detail and why is it used. Thanks |
google it and within seconds you will have an answer.

It is such a large topic that I doubt someone will type it all up on this thread.......
Try this - Wikipedia |
The basics are actually pretty simple, manual input by pilot is converted to a regulated signal of voltage that makes it's way usually through a computer to the flight control where that rated voltage tells a valve to open or close.
The actuator on the flight control in return sends back a regulated voltage "based on the electrical resistance of a device that veries with actuator position" back to the computer to verify the actuator is doing what it is told to. |
Not the full story, Mud.
You omitted the smoke, mirrors and PFM... |
well I dont know why you post it here when it can be easily googled but the simple answer is...
A fly by wire (FBW) system replaces manual flight control of an aircraft with an electronic interface. |
