Dornier 328-1xx, short field aircraft???
Hola!
I'm wondering if anyone knows if the 328 is able to operate(with max load) on an airfield with a published LDA of 890m,TORA 950m/TODA 1130m and elevation 243'? Rgrds Kai |
These are the AFM performance data numbers for the Dornier 328-100 at sea level on a standart day, dry runway, no slope, no wind with max TOM:
Take-off Run: 750 meters Take-off distance: 865 meters Accelerate-stop distance: 1080 meters Actual landing distance @ max landing mass and flaps 20°: 710 meters (unfactored!) Unfortunately, I do not have the data available for a flaps 32° landing. Maybe someone else on this forum does? Hope this helps... |
Thanks for the reply!
The aircraft in question is a Dornier 328-110. I belive this aircraft is better suited for shorter fields?? Link to the landing chart of the airfield: http://www.ippc.no/norway_aip/curren...NOV_2-1_en.pdf Is operation with a 328-110 doable at this one?? Regards Kai |
On a no-wind standart day at max TOM definitely not. The accelerate-stop-distance is the limiting factor. You'd have to be really light (somewhere around 11 tons max, and that limits your payload to zero) and have at least 5 knots of headwind to meet that requirement.
You could land with passengers, but you'd have to take off empty. Doable, but not advisable... |
