Swissair Navigator computer
Does anyone out there have a manual for operating the old manual "Swissair Navigator" computer? I found one on the web and now it is in my hands, but no manual.
Any help is appreciated. Van |

Isn't it just another flight computer? They all work about the same.

Well I'm curious so can someone tell me what's special about this device?
|
Must be a flight computer for pilots with strong myopia! MUUAHAHAHAAAA! :}
|
Well his profile does say that he is 64:}

It's a very special whizz wheel, calibrated to Geneva Mean Time with a serrated edge for cutting blocks of Toblerone.
The item is relatively cheap to buy but because it is considered a precision instrument servicing is essential every 2000Nms and this can only be carried out by a approved service centre and costs an arm and a Toblerone. |
Cool! I want one:}

Is the string for flossing your teeth after all the nougat?
|
Gee, just the other day I was trying to work a pressure pattern navigation problem on the ProLine 21 kit in the Global Express. Couldn't get it done, so I want one, too.

... I was trying to work a pressure pattern navigation problem on the ProLine 21 kit in the Global Express What type of HRRA were you using? To do it right, you gotta have one of those.:} |
Priceless comments around here, chaps...:ok:
What type of HRRA were you using? BF |
Pardon my ignorance, but what is a HRRA? Google did not help me either.. |
Maybe that's why ProLine 21 couldn't do it. :sad:
Which is necessary for pressure pattern flying, Nice catch, 411A :ok: But, funny, when they re-equipped the C-5's rad alt in early 90s, it was a HRRA. Interesting on a crossing and bored to watch absolute altitude change with pressure patterns. GF |
Hi Van - I am in Australia but do have Dad's old Swissair and Manual. Happy to copy it for you if you like. Let me know and cheers.
